At **Open Regularity Tracker**, we value your privacy. This Privacy Notice describes how our mobile application collects, uses, stores, and protects your information, particularly regarding location tracking during regularity rally events.

## 1. Information We Collect

### A. Precise Location Data (Core Functionality)
To function as a rally telemetry tracker and speedometer, the app collects your device's precise location coordinates (latitude, longitude), speed, heading, altitude, and timestamp.
*   **Background Collection:** This data is collected **both when the app is open in the foreground and when it is running in the background** (e.g., when your screen is locked, or when you are using other navigation apps). Background tracking is only active while you explicitly turn on the tracking service using the "START TRACKING" button.
*   **Requirement:** Accurate tracking is essential for scoring and scheduling compliance in regularity rallies.

### B. Device Identifiers
The app generates a unique random string (e.g., `m-abcd`) to identify your device instance. This identifier is sent to the server alongside your coordinates to identify your vehicle’s telemetry logs. We do not link this ID with your personal identification (such as name, phone number, or email) unless your rally organizer links it in their scoring database.

## 2. How We Use the Information

We use the collected information strictly for:
1.  **Speedometer & Telemetry Calculations:** Displaying your real-time speed, bearing, altitude, and trip distance on the HUD dashboard.
2.  **Rally Scoring Integration:** Transmitting location updates to the custom endpoint URL you configure or scan via QR code.

**No Third-Party Sharing:** We do not sell, rent, or share your location details or device identifiers with advertising networks, third-party analytics platforms, or other commercial entities.

## 3. Data Storage & Retention

*   **Local Caching (Offline Mode):** If your cellular connection drops during a stage, location points are securely cached in a local SQLite database on your device.
*   **Auto-Deletion:** Once cached points are successfully uploaded to the rally server, they are automatically deleted from local storage.
*   **Manual Clearance:** You can immediately wipe all pending, unsent logs at any time by going to **Settings** and tapping **Clear Pending Data**.

## 4. Device Permissions Required

To provide our services, the app requests the following system permissions:
*   **Precise Location Access (Always Allow):** Required to retrieve coordinates when tracking in the background.
*   **Camera Permission:** Required strictly to scan rally QR codes for server configuration. No images are saved or transmitted.
*   **Notifications:** Required to display the persistent tracking indicator in your system bar when the logging service is active.

## 5. Your Control & Choices

You are in complete control of your data:
*   **Start/Stop Tracking:** You can start and stop location logging at any time using the toggle button on the main dashboard.
*   **Disconnect Server:** You can delete your rally participation key or endpoint URL in the settings to cease all external data transmission.
*   **Revoke System Permissions:** You can disable location or camera permissions at any time via your device's system settings.
